Birthdays

On Monday, you may have heard a distant "thud". Don't be alarmed it was just the sound of Scott's youth officially dying. Scott left his 30's and boldly entered his 40's. As you can see it wasn't pretty. Scott and my dad's birthdays are a few days a part so they shared a little get together...and hats.

In other birthday news, Elijah turned 1 month today. He seems to be enjoying life. Still very easy going. Doesn't get too upset about too much. For the most part he sleeps very well, usually about 4 hours at a time. We have hit 6.5 hours, but not consistently. Eli is still the center of his big brother's attention. Life is good!!

Hope 2009 finds you all well!

More "early pics" of Elijah and family

Happy New Year!  In another attempt to avoid grading papers, I'll upload more pictures of Elijah!
Elijah's really starting to fill out--he's drinking upwards of 6 oz at a time now, and gets up about every three hours.   He does a pretty mean Penguin imitation (from the television Batman series), grunting until he is perfectly comfortable.  He's also stopped scowling at his father now, which is making things easier on me--his napping on my chest during the Vikings loss made the typical end of a Vikings season more bearable!
(And in fairness to what looks to be incriminating evidence of Grandpa Tim's babysitting skills, he's been out doing a tremendous amount of snow removal so far this winter!)
