Odds and Ends

What a fun weekend! On Friday, Mom, Elijah and I went to Fargo to help Mic and Ian move into their first home. They really got some weak links as far as movers go, but we got it done. We had reinforcements come in later. Everyone pitched in and they're all moved into their home in Eagle Run, West Fargo. Eli and Sushi had a few communcation issues...Sushi thought his toes were fun to chew on...Eli decided he didn't like the end with teeth...so he gave her tail got a few good tugs to settle the score.
Eli did pretty good. We tried to find him a safe place. No matter where we put him, he always had an eye on us.

Even the munchins pitched in....

As you saw from Scott's posts, Saturday started with Mighty Mites basketball. We're starting to understand the concept of teams. Last week, was more of overall chearleading. Isaac would say "yessssss...." every time anyone scored.
Saturday afternoon was Nathan's birthday party at the Eagle's arena. This was Isaac's first time on skates. Just a quick FYI...Isaac's face is a little beat up....not from learning how to ride his bike or skating for the first time, but rather walking to CCD. Didn't see that one coming.

Just in case you're not on the edge of your chair...the boys got their hair cuts :-) This was Eli's first trim. He didn't move. Isaac...no comment.

Isaac decided to fix his own hair after his bath..."like this mom!"

That hair style was even pretty in the morning :-)

We're pretty boring around these parts. Scott watched the game on Sunday with Elijah. Isaac spent the day helping Grandma around the house. Then riding in the tractor and semi with Grandpa. While I volunteered at the "Out of Darkness" Suicide prevention walk. Now for a little school work and charting for Scott and I and we're calling it a wrap. Hope you all had a good weekend!

FWD:Anti-Gretsky

Probably no NCAA hockey in our future...But having fun!

De-fense

Scouts pay attention

The consummate teammate...

Mark Madsen might have an heir apparent... Isaac's liking team basketball even more.

Big Boys!

Meet Eli the 9 month old! Smiley monster baby.... Isaac came to Scott last night and asked him to take off his training wheels. 24 hours later, we are a regular speed demon! He had a parade of adoring fans. Ok, 2, but they came bearing gifts. Homemade chocolate chip cookies for his lunch and getting to play with Papa's motorcycle. Someone is going to sleep tonight with a pretty big smile on his face.

Weekend

Scott and Isaac built a fort. Looked pretty cozy. However, I wouldn't know as there was 'no girls allowed' rule as they are "wacky". After doing a quick survey of the household, it was tough not to take that one personally. This weekend was also Grandparents day! Yay! Thanks to our all of our grandparents we'd be lost without you. For some of you, we'd probably be without the creation and strict adherence to many of the current Child Labor laws as well.

Another beautiful night! We went out for a walk on the GF greenway. We need to record 40 miles for Isaac's PE class. Had fun with Shannon's gift (Vikings football) for Isaac- -see Wifey and Isaac going deep..

Unfortunately, Elijah called a running play...

.

Labor Day Weekend

While Scott was visiting family in Janesville, the boys and I ran nonstop. Labor Day weekend brought a visit by the Stones! Isaac and Hudson had lots of fun playing and exploring every nook and cranny of the farm.
If Mom and Dad filled these with actual fertilizer, they'd have the nicest yard in the county. I would love to see how many miles have been put on these wheels this summer.

A little lesson in standing from Grandpa.

We're so ready for an adventure!

Didn't make it very far.....

We're minus 4 additional kids and some woodpaneling, but we're going to give it a try! Safety does limit the amount of adventure we can have these days!

When we were growing up, we used to spend most Sundays with some neighbor families. Its so fun to get together now, with all of our kids and significant others. Mom and Dad had us all out on Sunday. It was a beautiful day to hang with family and friends.

(these are from our adventure...but they won't move and I'm tired)

The kids had a great time playing...

Kris and I took on Mic and Amy in a marathon game of horseshoes. For most of the game, it looked like victory would be ours, then Amy came alive. A leaner and ringer, took out us right after a game. We were all very excited since it was more points than all of us had scored, combined, in quite some time :-)

Today is a good day for a nap.....or two.
