May has been an exciting month. Mr. Elijah is now 5 months old. Its gone by quickly, yet neither Scott or I can remember life without him. He smiles nonstop. He even decided to roll over and start scooting across the blanket. He doesn't seem to mind his helmet too much. At his May appoitment, he had another scan of his noggin and made huge strides. He grew what most kids grow in 3-4 months in 3 weeks. So we're hopeful that in June he'll be able to transition out of it.
What a beautiful Memorial day weekend! We got lots done and spent some time with the boys at the park. Scott and I even got to go out to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary with some beers and a Laker game (via the Moose). Even let Scott win at some darts to ease the stress of the game.
Isaac orientated his little brother to the playground by giving him his first pushes in a real swing. Let's just say its a good thing the roles are reversed. If Isaac had been pushed like that, he would still be crying! Elijah just giggles.
After a little over a year of waiting, Isaac finally got his cordless insulin pump. He's been taking it like a trooper. We have to remove that device of insulin every three days, which is hard on his tender skin and small body, but overall things have been going well. He doesn't have to have any shots any more. All the insulin is programmed into the PDA looking device and then the device delivers it slower like his pancreas should. More importantly this should help keep his blood sugar numbers more regulated which keeps him healthier. There are some cool little video snipets at www.myomnipod.com . Isaac also finished up at Century preschool this past week. It was definitely bitter sweet as he has loved his time there. The staff there have been incredible and will be missed by all of us.

Hope everyone got to do something special over the long weekend. Finally a little bit of nice weather...and a thunderstorm, my favorite kind of days! More importantly, thank you to those who have served and defended our country. God bless!

Yay for the insulin pump!! Finally!
Boy does Elijah sure look like Scott... wow!
Doesn't he? Isaac acts like him, Elijah looks like him. He's almost got this cloning thing down! I checked the fine print on the marriage license, there was no mention of clones.
We are so excited for the pump and the possibilities for the little guy. His numbers have been better, but we're still ironing out the different insulin levels. Got our fingers crossed!
